Srinagar, Apr 23 : Leh in Ladakh region froze at minus 1.3 degree Celsius followed by Celsius world famous ski resort of Gulmarg in the Kashmir valley at 0.5 degree where bright sunshine greeted people after below normal minimum temperature. However, the Met department has predicted scattered rain in the valley today and dry weather during the next 24 hours.
Chilly weather revisited Leh where the minimum temperature witnessed a considerable drop and settled at minus 1.3 degree against yesterday's 6.8 degree. However, at border town of Kargil, on Srinagar-Leh national highway still closed since December last year, the minimum temperature was 3.3 degree, Met spokesman said. |
