Health deptt launches new polio vaccine 4/25/2016 10:02:32 PM Early Times Report Kathua, Apr 25: Health department today launched new Polio vaccine BOPV which is a replacement of the old one at Govt. District hospital Kathua. Deputy Medical Superintendent Dr. Gurdeep Singh accompanied by LHV Kulvinder Kaur, LHV Anita Kumari, Nursing supervisor Asha Jamwal jointly such vaccine. While addressing in brief but impressive programme, Chief Guest Dr. Gurdeep Singh emphasized that all the paramedic staff and other stakeholders regarding the studies conducted at WHO and its results that the new vaccine is more effective against the Type 1 as well as Type 2 polio viruses. Dr Singh has informed that it's logistic and storage is also simple. India had already tried to comply with WHO vaccination standards and had achieved good results in the past 50 years as well. Dr Singh insisted to all the staff members, "we are the front end ambassadors of the Health of the society and we need to work by acquiring latest updates in our knowledge and dedication to serve."
