Early Times Report Jammu, Apr 25: Former Minister and senior Congress leader Raman Bhalla said that Congress represented each and every section, region and religion of the society and has the vision, policies and programmes for welfare and unification of people of different shades. "The party alone can ensure justice in every sphere of life and equitable development of all three regions and the backward and remote areas in the state,", he said, while addressing deputations of aggrieved people in Channi Himmat, Gadi Garh, Maha Kali Nagar areas of Gandhi Nagar constituency on Monday. Bhalla said that during the UPA-led government's rule at the Centre, there was a massive financial support for Jammu and Kashmir which saw large scale development. He appealed coalition Govt in state to ensure delivery at the basic levels like availability of ration, power, health, education sector & unemployment besides rehabilitation of flood affected people and the farmers. The employees of different categories including teachers, daily wagers, casual and need based workers and other such categories of people are regularly seen on protests for their just and genuine demands. This kind of situation has disappointed every common man as the prices of all essential commodities and items of daily use have increased manifold. Bhalla questioned the BJP for its failure to address the aspirations of people of Jammu region, as the party always accused the state and centre governments for not giving the due treatment to Jammu. Now, when they (BJP) are in power, they should fulfill the slogans, they used to raise, while in opposition. |
