JAMMU, Apr 25: A week long special drive to check the menace of adulteration in milk and milk products has been started by the enforcement staff of Drugs and Food Control Organization, J&K throughout the State. During the first day of the drive, sixty five samples of milk and milk products were lifted and have been sent to the Food Testing laboratories for analysis. Moreover, 2844 Liters of Substandard Milk was destroyed on spot after checking quality during this drive. The Milk Vendors have been directed to desist from unethical practices and adopt good trade practices, failing which strict action as per rules shall be initiated against them. |
