PDS consumers crave for Sugar, CAPD Deptt in slumber

JAMMU, Apr 25: Even as PDS consumers craving for for three months, the CAPD is in slumber. Complaints pouring in from different quarters that black-marketing of sugar are going unabated in rural areas of Jammu province courtesy CAPD officials.
Reliable sources told early times that two incidents one in Gandoh area of Doda district and another one at Doda where PDS sugar meant for Government are being allegedly recovered from private shed bhatyas at Doda and on April 17 CAPD employee being arrested and on questioning he revealed that 118 bags of Government sugar seized in a private shed, this clearly 'raise eye brows that some thing fishy over the involvement of the CAPD officials.
"As after the implementation of National food security act (NFSA) ration crises badly affected the distribution and consumers leaves high and dry", sources regretted adding, consumers accused that the Government implemented this act just to snatch the right of food as consumers get wheat instead of flour which forced the consumers to take flour from open market as Government claims that this act provide ration at cheaper rates but infact it has added to woes of people.They buy flour at Rs 20 per kg. Sources divulge that Police has to go tough in investigation whose soever influential's culprits they should be punished and send an example for others whose soever indulges in black-marketing they would be taken to task coupled with questioned from where this sugar came
"Those ones who have marriages during these months they have to face great hardships as they have to buy the sugar from open market at exorbitant rate and they opined that it's a sour season for them as Government fails to provide sugar. When contacted, senior officer of the CAPD admitted that from sevrrsl months sugar was not available. Despite repeated attempts, Director CAPD could not be contacted.
