| DPS Nagbani organises a lecture cum demonstration | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Apr 25 : Delhi Public School, Nagbani today organized a lecture cum demonstration by Anuradha, Scientist and Incharge Solid Waste Management, Municipal Corporation Jammu. On the occasion, she e was welcomed by Arti Gupta, School coordinator. In her lecture Ms. Anuradha discussed about the best management of solid waste produced in the households. She stressed on the importance of pollution free environment. For this she talked about the types of wastes, bifurcation and discarding techniques of two types of waste. Twin bin system provision should be introduced in the houses and zero waste techniques should be adopted. Students were motivated by the scientist to begin the solid waste management from their houses. Students were not only given the lecture theoretically but were practically a demo was also given to them by her in the school campus where they were shown how to make a compost pit and use it as storage of the solid waste.
Principal of the school thanked her for such an eye opener lecture cum demonstration and he assured her that the students' of this school will definitely follow the instructions given by her in the future to make India a pollution free country and be a part of "Swachh Bharat Abhiyan". |
