Ganga appreciates SIDCO for pushing J&K towards macro-industrial map of nation

jammu, Apr 27: Congratulating all the entrepreneurs and recipients of Council of State Industrial Development and Investment Corporations of India (CO-SIDICI) National Awards-2016 under different categories, the Minister for Industries and Commerce Chander Prakash Ganga appreciated the role of J&K SIDCO towards taking industrialization to new heights in the state
In a glittering Awards ceremony held tonight at Jammu by Council of State Industrial Development and Investment Corporations of India (CO-SIDICI) to encourage progressive industrial initiatives taken all across the nation, the chief guest Minister for Industries and Commerce Ganga distributed the awards to well-performing units from different parts of the nation and appreciated the role of J&K SIDCO towards taking industrialization to new heights in the state under the leadership of present Managing Director Amit Sharma.
Earlier award ceremony began with welcome address from Amit Sharma MD J&K SIDCO who also holds chair of COSIDICI Vice-President. He mentioned that the role of micro, small and medium enterprises has been recognized beyond doubt as the engines of economic growth who serve the twin objectives of growth with equity and inclusion. MD J&K SIDCO further assured that Corporation to nurture and promote these building blocks of J&K economy under the dynamic leadership of Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti, DyCM Dr Nirmal Singh, I&C Minister Chander Prakash Ganga, Chief Secretary B.R Sharma and Commissioner/Secretary Shailendra Kumar.
This was followed by a detailed address by P Joy Oommen, COSIDICI President, who elaborated about the roles and objectives of setting-up this organization. Apart from this, COSIDICI is an accredited member of CII, FICCI, SCOPE, Small Scale Industries Board, Ministry of Industry, Government of India and actively participates in their activities. A formal vote of thanks was given by VS Rathore, COSIDICI General Secretary.
