Jammu, Apr 27: Police claimed to have busted a nexus of pilfering Government ration - Consumer Affairs and Public Distribution (CAPD to private mills with the seizure of two trucks loaded with government ration from M/s Kissan Flour Mills at Deeli on late Tuesday night.
Police sources said, "Government ration meant for registered rationees worth lakhs was reportedly being diverted to one M/s Kissan Flour Mills.
"During a late night raid conducted by the police, the police seized two truckloads of government ration which was reportedly loaded from Consumer Affairs and Public Distribution (CAPD) Store at Chatha," police sources said adding that matter is being further investigated.
Sources said that two trucks loaded with wheat were seized by the Channi Himmat Police from M/s Kissan Flour Mill at Deeli on late Tuesday night.
"Based on specific information about government ration was being diverted to the private flour mill with the active connivance of the CAPD officials, police team kept a vigil in and around its jurisdiction, they added.
They said, "During the raid police seized two trucks bearing registration number JK02H/5349 and JK02G/4379 and accordingly an FIR 32/2016 was registered with the Police Station Channi Himmat.
Meanwhile, police sources giving information said that police has circled some of the officials of the CAPD for questioning to reach the depth of the black marketing of government ration.
