Encroachments galore in Mendhar 4/27/2016 11:20:37 PM MS Nazki Poonch, Apr 27: In many areas of Mendhar town of this frontier district, encroachments on Govt property are at galore with the active support of revenue officials. Sources said at many places in the town, local shopkeepers have encroached the pavements of the roads by raising concrete structures causing inconvenience to commuters. and People face many difficulties while using these roads. Sources said that the Revenue department officials including Tehsildar Salamdin, Patwari and Girdawar were hand in glove with the encroachers who allow them to raise structures on govt land allegedly in lieu of monetary benefits. Even at several places locals too have encroached upon the government land they added. As the Revenue Department is being accused for the menace, people of the town urged the Revenue Minister to set the things in right perspective before it is too late. While talking to Early Times District Development Commissioner MH Malik said nobody is allowed to encroach the state land or property.
