Secular party aiming to strengthen the nation: PCC (U)

JAMMU, Apr 27: Throwing light on the history of Congress, Gourav Kapoor newly appointed General Secretary Distt Congress Committee Jammu (Urban) today said Congress is only a secular party endevouring to strengthen the nation.
"Since its formation the party has remained committed to the principle of secularism and socialism and for strengthening the unity and integrity of the nation, he said while addressing a press conference here today at Press Club of Jammu.
While speaking to media persons Kapoor said Congress is a secular party that's why people hold faith in its policies and made it to rule for many decades. In a veiled attack on political rivals, he said those who now are in power by raking religious issues can't survive for long period. He also said BJP which claimed to fight against the discrimination with Jammu for long now has forgotten the same.
Earlier he expressed gratitude to President Distt Congress Committee (U) Anil Chopra for appointing him as Distt General Secretary Congress Committee Jammu (U)
Vicky Mahajan Executive Member of PCC, Vice President Jammu (U), Sanjeev Luthra, Sanjeev Sharma, Susheel Sharma, Gulshan Rattan, Naresh Maini and GopaLSharma were also present in the press conference
