Family fails to know whereabouts of missing youth for 2 months
Fiction story on kidnapping keeps police perplexed

Kathua, Aug 21: " Despite of having knowledge about kidnappers, Police department has allegedly failed to find out missing youth namely Shafiq Ahmad Wani, 21 yrs old for last 2 months," Matlub Wani brother of the youth who reportedly was kidnapped by few persons living in Rajbagh, 15 km here from Kathua town.
Matlub Wani informed that one local permitted his family to live in his abandoned poultry farm, later on he demanded money and wanted to sold the land but when his family refused to pay as land belonged to state not to him according to revenue record, the youth kidnapped his brother 2 months ago and threatened for dire consequences .
He alleged that person kidnapped his brother 2 months ago. He informed that when he approached police Station Rajbagh to file case against that Sikh Youth, police arrested him and his father for a week and alleged that missing youth flew away with the lady of his cousin.
Wani said Teg Ali, Tehri Din, and other Muslim youths kidnapped his brother. He informed that kidnappers asked his missing brother to call the family members and kidnapped brother telephonically talked to the family.
He said police is involved in the kidnapping as kidnappers walk free and no inquiry has been initiated in the case.
He informed that SHO Rajbagh refused to file case but when approached to Court and DIG Jammu, SHO filed case but did not initiate inquire seriously. He appealed Chief Minister to intervene in the matter to find out his missing brother. When contacted Addl. SP Kathua, Khalil Poswal, informed that Shafiq Ahmad flew away with Teg Ali's wife who was recovered later on but Shafiq was still out of the grip. He said Shafiq himself called vigilance, DIG, Control room Jammu to divert the attention of Police department from his kidnapping to run away case with a lady illegally. He said Shaif plotted a fiction story to misguide police department but still Police work on missing compliant through all angels. The officer ensured to find out the missing youth within days.
