Jammu, Oct 12: In a PIL, seeking direction to respondents to shift the degree college, Majalta, from government middle school, Baryalta, to government higher secondary school, Majalta, a high court division bench of Chief Justice N Paul Vasanthakumar and Justice Tashi Rabstan today directed state to file objections within four weeks, failing which their right to file the same shall stand closed. It has been stated in the PIL that the college is being operated and made functional temporarily from three class rooms of government middle school, Baryalta. The petitioners have sought direction to respondents to hold an enquiry as to under which circumstances Government Degree College at Majalta, which could have been made functional from Government Higher Secondary School, Majalta, was made functional from three class rooms of Government Middle school, Baryalta, and the students of Middle School, Baryalta, had been shifted to private residence.
