Power hungry BJP minister snubs party leader for raking up issue
Naeem's mercy petition
10/12/2016 11:58:03 PM
Early Times Report

Jammu, Oct 12: While as Education Minister, Naeem Akthar has virtually written a mercy petition to radical anti-India leader, Sayeed Ali Shah Geelani, the "nationalist" BJP, which is enjoying power with PDP in the State, has maintained a blind eye and deaf ear towards such intolerable act of the senior ministers in the coalition.
The power hungry party ministers in the coalition have asked BJP leadership to avoid such "minor" incidents because raking up such issues are not in the interests of the coalition in the State.
Credible sources in the BJP said that some party leaders have taken very serious note of the "mercy petition" of Naeem Akhtar and they asked party ministers to strongly take up this matter with the leadership of PDP but one of the senior BJP minister, who has earned notoriety for compromising with every issue due to power, has snubbed party leaders for giving importance to this issue. The said minister has earlier compromised ideology of the party on a number of occasions earlier. Instead of strongly taking up the issue with PDP, the said minister is rather trying gag voice of those party leaders who are opposing to give imporatance to separatist leadership especially Geelani and party.
Credible sources said that the said BJP minister said that there is no need to react on the mercy petition because it is internal matter of the PDP. But the minister failed to understand that a senior minister of the government, who is spokesman of the coalition, is writing a mercy petition to Sayeed Ali Shah Geelani which is an indication that Geelani is more important than the government. Coalition's spokesman written such petition to Geelani is by and large government's stand to give credibility to Geelani.
