Early Times Report JAMMU, Oct 23: An IPS officer, who was posted in Kashmir a wing of J&K police against his wish, has proceeded on central deputation. He has got a posting in Intelligence Bureau (IB) for four years, according to police sources. He was posted as the head of a district in Kashmir when, during a reshuffle in the department, he was transferred to traffic wing. However, when he expressed his unwillingness to take up the new assignment, the PHQ had assured him of a 'choice' posting at the earliest, sources said. But when did not get the desired posting even after a long wait, he applied for the central deputation nearly a month back and activated all his resources in the union ministry of home affairs, the sources added. He also took the help of his batchmates and got his work done within one month of submitting his application to the ministry even as his seniors, who had applied several months back, were still to get the MHA nod, sources informed. Sources said though some senior police officers tried to prevent him from proceeding on central deputation and assured that he would be suitably adjusted, but all in vain. He had got a posting in IB initially for four years, the sources added. |
