Early Times Report JAMMU, Oct 23: A superintendent of police is nowadays very tactfully and cleverly taking benefit of a 'misunderstanding' between a minister and a MLA in Jammu district. The minister is, however, unhappy with the SP and has been trying for his transfer as he has been favouring the MLA more than him, according to police sources. "Though both the leaders belong to the same party, they are at daggers drawn with each other. The level of animosity is such that if any close confidant of one lands in police custody in a case, the other leaves no stone unturned to make sure that he is booked under law and not released," sources said. "All in the party know about this cold war, but no one has ever tried for a patch up between them," sources claimed. A few days back, there was a clash between the supporters of two leaders over the issue of celebration of a festival. As the two sides remained adamant, it was decided to hold two functions. After this incident, the SP called the minister's supporters to his office and asked them irritating questions just to put pressure on them, but did not call any of the MLA's supporters. He also asked them about their qualification. After this incident, there were heated exchanges between the MLA and a supporter of the minister. In this incident too, the SP had favoured the MLA, sources said. The minister was now trying to get him transferred in the next cabinet meet as and when it was held. He had also spoken to some of his party ministers in this regard, sources informed |
