| J&K State men volleyball championship enters second day | | Volleyball catching up in border areas | |  Early Times Report
poonch, Nov 16: On the 2nd day of J&K State senior men volleyball championship at Poonch, J&K Police team reached semi finals after showing their superb performance.
As many as 16 teams drawn from different districts of the state including one police team are showing their supremacy of the game for clinching Championship title.
The participants players /officials have been provided free boarding/lodging facilities by the host Shaheed Mangit Singh Memorial Club Poonch. The 3 day mega event is being held under the aegis of Volleyball Association of J&K in coordination with J&K state Sports Council.
According to Kuldip Magotra Chief Executive officer Volleyball Association of J&K hailed the initiatives of office bearers of Volleyball Association of J&K & Volleyball lovers of the state who despite financial constraints have committed to organise two state level Championships in the state to flourish Volleyball game in every nook & corner of the state.
Saleem Banday (AEE PHE) was the Chief Guest and Mohammad Khan (AE PDD) was the guest of honour today. Among dignitaries RC Sharma Treasurer /Mohd Tariq Chairman Shaeed Mangit Singh Memorial Club Poonch, /executive member of the Volleyball Association of J&K were present on the occasion. |
