VIJAYPUR, Jan 1: Former Minister and Samba District Congress Committee President, Manjit Singh today asked Congress workers to get ready for coming assembly and parliamentary elections. Speaking before the monthly meeting of Congress workers in Vijaypur, Manjit Singh asked the workers to start ground work in Samba district. "People across the country want a change and they have openly come in support of Congress. Similarly, in Jammu and Kashmir, people know that it is only Congress party which can keep the State united," he added. Referring to the local issues, he said, government should not compel displaced persons to come on the road. "Fulfill the rights of the Displaced Persons of 1947,1965 and 1971. DPs of 1965 and 1971 are not given right on the property, they are holding, after they were evicted from their homeland," he added. He said that the government should not force the Displaced Persons to come on the roads. He said that the Government has not announced refunded package. "Youth, farmer, and business community under Modi Government are felling suffocated due to anti-people policies," he said. |
