UDHAMPUR, Jan 1: Police today claimed to have rescued 10 bovine animals at Jakheni, Udhampur. Based on some reliable information, a police party of Police Station Udhampur raised a surprise naka near Jakheni, Udhampur for checking of vehicles. "During surprise checking of vehicles, police party intercepted one truck bearing Registration number JK02AS 8825", said SSP Udhampur Rajiv Pandey. He further said that during the checking of said vehicle, 10 bovine animals were found loaded on way to Kashmir without permission. All the bovine animals were rescued and the accused driver namely Arshad Ali of Ragurah, district Jammu was arrested on spot and vehicle seized. In this connection, a case under FIR No.01 /2019 under section 188 of RPC, 3 PCA Act has been registered at Police Station Udhampur and further investigation was going on. |
