9 Judges transferred, 7 get additional charge

Jammu, Apr 25: In a full court held under the chairpersonship Chief Justice J&K High Court, Justice Gita Mittal on Thursday, seven CJM/Sub-Judges were promoted as adhoc District & Sessions Judges while nine Judges were transferred.
According to the order issued by Registrar General J&K High Court Sanjay Dhar, Riyaz-UI-Haq Mirza, Chief Judicial Magistrate, Rajouri, upon his adhoc appointment as District Judge vide Government Order No. 6065-LD(A) of 2018 dated 03.12.2018, is transferred and posted as Principal District & Sessions Judge, Kargil against the available vacancy; Vijay Singh Manhas, Chief Judicial Magistrate, Reasi, upon his adhoc appointment as District Judge vide Government Order No. 6065-LD(A) of 2018 dated 03.12.2018, is transferred and posted as Additional Sessions Judge, Anti-Corruption Cases, Srinagar against the available vacancy; Masarat Roohi, Chief Judicial Magistrate, Sopore, upon her adhoc appointment as District Judge vide Government Order No. 6065-LD(A) of 2018 dated 03.12.2018, is transferred and posted as President Consumer Forum, Srinagar, on deputation against the available vacancy; Balbir Lal, Chief Judicial Magistrate, Udhampur, upon his adhoc appointment as District Judge vide Government Order No. 6065-LD(A) of 2018 dated 03.12.2018, is transferred and posted as Additional District Judge, Bank Cases, Srinagar against the available vacancy; Ashwani Kumar, Chief Judicial Magistrate, Jammu, upon his adhoc appointment as District Judge vide Government Order No. 6065 LD(A) of 2018 dated 03.12.2018, is transferred and posted as Additional Sessions Judge ADA/POIA Court Srinagar against the available vacancy; Kusum Lata Pandita, Chief Judicial Magistrate, Kathua, upon her adhoc appointment as District Judge vide Government Order No. 6065-LD(A) of 2018 dated 03.12.2018, is transferred and posted as Additional District & Sessions Judge, Rajouri against the available vacancy; Aijaz Ahmad Khan, Chief Judicial Magistrate, Srinagar upon his adhoc appointment as District Judge vide Government Order No. 6065-LD(A) of 2018 dated 03.12.2018, is transferred and posted as Additional District & Sessions Judge, Sopore, vice Jeema Bashir; Kousar Ahmad Qureshi, Member, J&K Special Tribunal, Srinagar , is repatriated from deputation and posted as Additional District and Sessions Judge, Handwara against the available vacancy; Jeema Bashir, Additional District and Sessions Judge, Sopore is transferred and posted as Member, J&K Special Tribunal, Srinagar, on deputation, vice Kousar Ahmad Qureshi.
The order further says that till further orders, the arrangement regarding additional charge of the vacancies caused due to the aforementioned transfers is made in the following manner are the charge CJM Rajouri entrusted to Special Mobile Magistrate (Sub-Judge), Rajouri. The charge CJM Reasi entrusted to Secretary DLSA (Sub-Judge) Reasi, the charge of CJM Sopore entrusted to Sub-Judge/JMIC Pattan, the charge of CJM Udhampur entrusted to Special Mobile Magistrate (Sub-Judge) Udhampur, the charge of CJM Jammu entrusted to City Judge Jammu, the charge of CJM Kathua entrusted to Special Mobile Magistrate (Sub-Judge) Kathua, the charge of CJM Srinagar entrusted to Special Mobile Magistrate Traffic Srinagar.
