DDC Rajouri holds public outreach camp

RAJOURI, Aug 21: In an endeavour to reach out to the public and to listen to their grievances at Village/Panchayat Level the District Development Commissioner, Rajouri, Mohammad Aijaz Asad today convened a day-long public Grievance Redressal Camp here at Dodasanbala area of Rajouri district.
The outreach programme witnessed participation of Sarpanchs and people from Dodasan bala and adjoining areas like Dodassan Remote, Lah, Bhattian, Samsamit and Nerojal and from few Panchayats of Thannamandi block. At the outset public appreciated DDC Rajouri for installing a Hand pump at the intersection of school premises, Jamia Masjid and PHC Dodasan.
A number of issues were put forth by Sarpanchs, panchs and locals. They sought immediate augmentation of power supply and medicine supply, solution of scarcity of water, improvement of roads, school upgradation, introduction of Commerce and Arabic subjects in Higher Secondary School Dodasanbala, completion of PHC building, restoration of damaged PMGSY roads etc.
The representatives also complained about non availability of medicines, lack of ambulance facility, paucity of staff and lack of laboratory equipment in Higher secondary school Dodasanbala. They sought building for middle school Kunda, electric poles, payment of pending land compensation of 13km road at Dodasanbala, repair of internal roads, construction of panchayat ghar, construction of drains at Planghar-Lah, holding of awareness camps by horticulture and agriculture departments.
Responding to the issues, the Assistant Commissioner Development Akhter Qazi said that the DPR for the construction of panchayat ghar is ready and the department can hire two rooms per block for panchayat ghars.
Regarding PHE sector, the Executive Engineer PHE Rajouri division Sunil Koul said that the DPR for Dodasanbala water supply scheme under NRDWP has been prepared and the work on the said scheme shall start soon after receiving the required funds.
He added that water sources are to be developed at Plangarh,Bathian,Fatehpur,Lah and Khablan.
The Executive Engineer PWD Rajouri division told that Ban to Dokar road is complete and the work on kaller-jabrain road shall be completed within three years.
The DDC gave a patient hearing and assured them that all their genuine demands would be redressed in a time bound manner.
