CLU-Jammu commemorates national youth day

JAMMU, Jan 14: Department of Students Welfare, Cluster University of Jammu organised a webinar on Constitution of Youth in Social Welfare to commemorate National Youth Day and birth Anniversary of Swami Vivekananda under the patronship of Prof. Manoj Dhar, Vice Chancellor, Cluster University of Jammu.
Dr. Revika Arora, Cultural Coordinator, acquainted the students about the role of youth in nation building . She stressed that the youth of the country is enthusiastic vibrant, innovative and dynamic in nature and shows strong passion , motivation and will power making them the most valuable human resource for economic, cultural and political development of a nation.
Youth need to work in Social Welfare activities and community services understanding the importance of environment on the society. They need to promote awareness and involvement in social programmes pertaining to Health and Family Welfare and physical education.
They should also be involved in social upliftment and nation building. Various students of Constituent Colleges and PGI Schools Cluster University, Srishti Rai, Vishali Snagra, Setaj Kour Charu, Riya Jamwal, Gagandeep Kour, Anjali pal, Shriya Gupta, Adhila, Paru Manchanda , Riya Andotra, Arunima Choudhary, ParneetKour, Meenakshi Basan, Abhinandan, , Drishti, Shriya Sharma enthusiastically expressed their views on the teachings of Swami Viveknanda. The event was organised under the guidance of Dr. Twinkle Suri, Dean Students welfare, CLUJ and attended by Associate Dean, Students Welfare, Dr.BanpreetKour, Assistant Deans, Dr. Gitanjili Rajput, Dr.Sudesh, Dr. Mansi Sharma and Dr. Davinder Kour.
