After LG’s direction admin constitutes special medical team for treatment of victims | | |

Jammu, Jan 7: Within minutes after the visit of Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha, the administration of the Government Medical College Hospital (GMCH) Jammu constituted a four-member Special Medical Team of doctors to inquire about the conditions of the injured of the heinous Dangri terror attack.
This Special Medical Team will visit Government Medical College (GMC) Rajouri and assess the conditions of the injured who are getting treatment there. The team will suggest measures to shift the Dangri terror attack victims to GMC Jammu.
The team is headed by Dr. Ratanakar Sharma, Professor, and Head of Surgery, Dr. Rajesh Mahajan, Professor of Anesthesia, Dr. Fariq Hussain, lecturer of Orthopadetics and Senior Spine Surgeon and Dr. Rahil Naqvi, lecturer of surgery.
Earlier Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha visited GMCH Jammu hospital here to inquire about the health of civilians injured in terror attacks in Rajouri district.
Sinha also met with the family members of the injured and assured them of all possible assistance.

Jammu, Jan 7: Jammu and Kashmir BJP president Ravinder Raina on Saturday praised the people for remaining united in the aftermath of the terror attacks in Rajouri district, saying terrorism can be defeated only by standing together. Srinagar, Jan 7: State Investigation Agency (SIA) on Saturday attached more properties belonging to banned Jamaat-e-Islami at different locations in South Kashmir.
An official said that SIA attached the properties in Sirhama, Viddy Srigufwara, Arwani in Anantnag district and in main town Kulgam.
He said the properties include a double-storied house, along with 7 Marla of land, 56 kanal agriculture land, 02 Kanal 7 Marla land, 3 Kanal 4 Marla land and 1.5 Kanal land.

New Delhi, Jan 7: The Home Ministry has banned the People's Anti-Fascist Front (PAFF), a proxy outfit of the terror group Jaish-e-Mohammed, for its involvement in terror acts in Jammu and Kashmir and elsewhere.
The Union Home Ministry also designated Arbaz Ahmad Mir, a Lashkar-e-Taiba member, as an individual terrorist under the anti-terror law Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act, 1967.
In a notification, the ministry said the 'PAFF' has been regularly issuing threats to security forces, political leaders and civilians working in Jammu and Kashmir from other states.

New Delhi, Jan 7: On Saturday, Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh Chief Mohan Bhagwat said his organization produces volunteers who can contribute to the country in many fields but does not seek to create any "pressure group" through them.

Srinagar, Jan 7: As Kashmir region is bracing for nearly a week long wet spell, the night temperatures improved a bit in the valley.
As per the latest forecast, there is a possibility of snowfall over higher reaches from Saturday evening.
The Meteorological Centre here said Srinagar which was in the grip of severe cold witnessed a low of minus 1.4 degrees Celsius Friday night against last night's minus 5.5C that was coldest so far during this season so far.
The night temperature at the ski resort of Gulmarg in north Kashmir's Baramulla district, was recorded at minus 2.6 degrees Celsius, a drop from minus 2.4 degrees Celsius recorded on Thursday.

Srinagar, Jan 7: The Jammu and Kashmir Board of School Education (BOSE) Saturday announced tentative date sheets for annual regular examination of classes 10th to 12th commencing from March-4 for soft zone and April-08 for hard zones.
This is for the first time, students of Jammu and Kashmir will appear in the annual regular board examination in March and April session respectively. The official records available states that annual regular exams of class 12th in soft zones tentatively will commence from March-04 while in hard zone the exams will commence from April-08.
