Early Times Reporter Jammu | Oct 7 Even as the storm was yet to settle down in the coalition relations that BR Kundal inquiry report is all set to kick off more dust. The findings of the inquiry have all the potential of rocking the government but it all now depends whether Chief Minister takes an action in follow up or just winds the file up. The probe report which is ready since last week has indicted a senior Minister of the Peoples Democratic Party for conniving with the foreign timber supplying firms for which an artificial scarcity of timber was created, highly placed sources told EARLY TIMES. Source said that the inquiry report was ready since early last week but the same could not be submitted to the Chief Minister as he was away in Delhi almost all this week. Sources who had access to the report said that the findings have all the potential of rocking the government if the Chief Minister chooses to initiate action on recommendations. Early Times Reporter Jammu | Oct 7 'Illicit wealth' worth rupees ten crores was up in smokes today as officials of the wildlife department destroyed rare animal skins on directions of Jammu and Kashmir High Court. Meanwhile, a rare snow leopard was killed by some unidentified persons today in Poonch district. The animal skins, which were destroyed today in Srinagar, were seized from various fur traders in the Kashmir Valley. Chief wildlife warden A.K Srivastava said the market value of these animal skins were 9.42 crore rupees in 1997, and today it might be higher than that. Early Times Reporter Jammu | Oct 7 The probe initiated by the state government to look into the allegations of "man-made scarcity" of timber created by the state Forest Department was hinting at the involvement of a senior PDP Minister, sources said today. New Delhi | Oct 7 With terrorists' growing using the cyber network for communication, security agencies, including CBI, has asked the government to amend Information Technology Act to enable investigating and intelligence agencies to monitor the internet network and gateways. This was opined at the just-concluded Directors and Inspectors Generals Conference being organised in the capital by Intelligence Bureau. Islamabad | Oct 7 At least 20 militants and 10 others were killed as Pakistani security forces backed by helicopter gunships launched a major offensive against the local Taliban in the restive North Waziristan tribal region. Six soldiers and four civilians, including three women, were also killed in the crackdown prompted by a wave of militant attacks on military convoys. After 20 years; someone kills a snow leopard

Early Times Reporter Jammu | Oct 7 A rare snow leopard was killed by some unidentified persons today in Poonch district of Jammu and Kashmir, official sources said. Acting on the information, a team of forest department officials recovered the snow leopard's body with multiple injures in the neck from Bafliaz area in the Pir-panchal ranges of Surankote tehsil, they said. This is the first instance of killing of the snow leopard in Pir-panchal ranges in the last two decade, they said.
