Terror truck wreckage gives shockers | Sidhra Encounter | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Dec 30: While four terrorists were killed in a quick encounter in Sidhra area of Jammu on December 28 morning, the terror laden truck that was destroyed in the encounter is throwing up several shockers for the security grid and intelligence agencies.
Sources said the intelligence agencies have inputs that the truck that was ferrying the terrorists along with arms and ammunition had brought the group of terrorists, who are believed into have infiltrated into Indian soil from the Jammu frontiers, a few hours before the dreaded travel to the valley. Sources said video footage of vehicular traffic venturing into Jammu district from adjoining districts like Rajauri, and even Lakhanpur was being screened by a team of police officials probing the case.
“A team is also looking into the footage of the vehicles that drove down the Sidhra highway on the fateful day,” said a senior official on the condition of anonymity.

Srinagar, Dec 30: Night temperature improved significantly due to cloud cover and overnight snowfall at most parts of the Kashmir valley on Friday.
Meteorological Department forecast of mainly dry weather with scattered light rain/snow over Jammu and Kashmir during the next 24 hours.
Kupwara in north Kashmir's frontier district received the highest snowfall of 20.0cms, followed by ski resort of Gulmarg 16.5cms, Pahalgam 1.3cms, Kukernag 5.0cms and Srinagar 3.0cms in the last 24hours till 0830 hours.
Most places of Kashmir recorded a significant surge in night temperature for the first time after settling at sub zero level for more than a fortnight.

Jammu, Dec 30: The Jammu and Kashmir State Investigation Agency (SIA) has filed a chargesheet against four Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) terrorists, including self-styled commander Talib Hussain Shah who had recruited many youths to revive terror ecosystem in different districts of the Jammu region, officials said on Friday.
The chargesheet was filed against Shah and his three associates in a special court for their involvement in terror activities at the behest of their Pakistan-based handlers, the anti-terror agency said in a statement here.

Srinagar, Dec 30: Historical Mughal Road and Srinagar-Sonamarg-Gumri (SSG) road remained closed for vehicular traffic for the second consecutive day on Friday due to accumulation of snow, officials said.
Mughal road connecting south Kashmir's Shopian district with twin districts of Poonch and Rajouri of Jammu division remained closed for vehicular traffic following the accumulation of snowfall at Peer Ki Gali.
Srinagar-Sonamarg-Gumri road connecting Ladakh Union Territory with Kashmir valley was also closed for vehicular traffic following a fresh snowfall on Zojila pass. About a foot of snow has accumulated at the tourist spot of Sonamarg on Friday.

New Delhi, Dec 30: A total of 19,478 road accidents occurred in 2021 due to loss of control by the driver due to inappropriate speed, distraction, or misjudging a curve, which claimed 9,150 lives and injured 19,077 people, according to a report released by the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways (MoRTH).
The report titled 'Road accidents in India -- 2021', said the nature of accident or collision types at aggregate national-level data shows an increase in 2021 compared to 2020.
