| Gulmarg land lease: Kashmir netas seek Delhi appointment | | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Dec 23: Even as the J&K administration looks ahead to evict hoteliers from the ski resort of Gulmarg, whose lease has expired, the Kashmir based political parties are seeking appointment in the corridors of power in New Delhi to seek “major respite”.
The sources said at least three political parties are seeking appointment in the government top brass in the national capital to seek “mercy for the hoteliers whose lease has expired in the famed resort.”
The sources said at least two senior politicians from two parties have been seeking appointments in the Prime Minister’s Office and the Union Home Ministry “for a detailed discussion on the issue of land lease issue.”
The sources said while as close relatives of one senior politician have their “future at stake” in the Gulmarg, the close aides of another politician are also running hotels at the resort. Sources said one of the senior politicians of Kashmir had been direct “beneficiary of the Gulmarg land lease in the past.”

Jammu, Dec 23: While filing a chargesheet against two accused, the National Investigation Agency (NIA) on Friday said that cross-Line of Control (LoC) trade was used for terror funding.
The NIA filed chargesheet against three accused persons-Tanveer Ahmad Wani, Peer Arshad Iqbal and Bashir Ahmad Sofi in the cross-border LoC trade and terror funding case.
The accused persons were charge-sheeted u/s 120B IPC & UAPA pertaining to the case registered on December 16, 2016 for profiteering and generation of funds through cross-LoC trade between J&K and PoK and using of those funds for the promotion of terrorist activities in J&K.

Srinagar, Dec 23: National Investigation Agency on friday said that it conducted multiple raids across J&K in connection with militancy related case.
In a handout, the NIA said that today it conducted searches at 14 locations across the J&K, in the Districts of Kulgam, Pulwama, Anantnag, Sopore & Jammu in case RC-05/2022/NIA/JMU. Jammu, Dec 23: The normal life was thrown out of gear while air and rail operation remained hit as dense blanket of fog gripped Jammu on Friday morning.
“The foggy weather conditions will prevail for next few days bringing no respite from chill,” a MeT official said on Friday.
