Early Times Report Jammu, Dec 27: Amid reports that “committed” Congress leaders opposed giving previous positions to the “deserters”, All India Congress Committee (AICC) general secretary (organization) K C Venugopal has reportedly not shown much enthusiasm about the “Ghar Wapsi” of ex-loyalists of Ghulam Nabi Azad. Highly placed sources in Congress said that issue of rejoining of former Deputy Chief Minister Tara Chand and other Congress leaders was discussed during the brief stay of K C Venugopal at Jammu. “K C Venugopal hailed the move of Congress leaders to convince the loyalists of Ghulam Nabi Azad to raise the banner of revolt against their political mentor”, a source said but added that AICC general secretary sought time to reinduct these leaders in the party. Early Times Report Srinagar, Dec 27: At least six residential houses were gutted in a devastating fire incident that erupted at Kunrache locality in Dalgate area of Srinagar during the wee hours of Tuesday. Fire and Emergency Service officials said that fire broke out at 5.27 am in a house in the locality on the banks of Dal Lake and engulfed other nearby structures damaging four double story houses severely and two others suffered partial damage in the incident. Agencies Kurukshetra (Haryana), Dec 27: The Centre is giving full support to the judiciary in resolving the cases pending before courts, Union Law Minister Kiren Rijiju said in Kurukshetra. The minister pointed out that more than five crore cases are pending before various courts across the country.
