Congress launches fresh attack on BJP over Aamir Raza Husain's resignation

NEW DELHI: The resignation of Delhi BJP vice-president Aamir Raza Husain over Narendra Modi's "puppy" remarks today gave Congress a fresh handle to attack the opposition party as it wondered what stand will the other Muslim leaders in the BJP take. "If Aamir Raza Husain could say/do the right thing wonder why all former socialists who joined BJP quiet? "Where do Shahnawazji & Naqviji stand?," Congress leader and Minister of Information and Broadcasting Manish Tewari tweeted this morning. Tewari was referring to BJP national vice-president Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi and spokesperson Shahnawaz Hussain. In what is being seen as the first fallout within the BJP over Modi's "puppy" remark, Husain, a well-known theatre personality, tendered his resignation yesterday. He quit a day after he had made anti-Modi remarks on television. Husain had on Monday told a news channel that Muslims would prefer senior party leader L K Advani or Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha Sushma Swaraj over Modi as the Prime Ministerial candidate. District Task Force Committee clears 75 cases for grant of loan

KATHUA: The District Task Force Committee for Self Employment approved 75 cases for grant of loan under Jammu and Kashmir Self Employment Scheme (JKSES). The committee that met here today under the chairmanship of Additional District Development Commissioner Kathua Rohit Khajuria, conducted the interviews of eligible candidates. During the interview 73 cases were cleared by the task force committee. The selected candidate also includes 15 women.
