After three days of communal tension in border town Rajouri, the normal life returned in the town on Thursday. All schools, Colleges and other business establishments were seen on their normal work and the restrictions of Section 144 imposed by the administration were also withdrawn today. The tension averted in the town after the hectic efforts of civil administration. During last three days Deputy Commissioner Rajouri, Rafiq Ahmed Sheikh and Deputy Inspector General of Rajouri Poonch Police Range, Prithvi Raj Manhas has been organizing separate meetings with the cross faith communities and with their sincere efforts both the communities agreed to shun the agitating path and let the peace to prevail.

Police on Thursday arrested a paramilitary jawan for allegedly killing a young man in a south Kashmir village.
Residents of Gabarpora village of Pulwama district, 40 km from here, alleged that a Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) jawan, Ganjan Kumar of 166 Battalion, fired at an 18-year old youth after a heated argument between the two.
The villagers held a demonstration after the incident.
The district magistrate of Pulwama district, who rushed to the spot to pacify the protesters, told reporters that the CRPF trooper had been arrested following a complaint registered by the police.

Jammu and Kashmir police claimed to have busted a gang of cheaters and arrested five persons, including a government employee, who were minting money from unemployed youth for arranging a job in various government departments.
A police spokesman said that the racket also involve some government officials who in connivance with the other accused were collecting money from poor persons by fraudulent means. The accused were not only cheating the poor people but also preparing fake appointment orders, he said.
