CM is a security risk: NPP | `Dismiss State government’ | | Early Times Report Jammu, Sept 25 : NPP Chairman, Professor Bhim Singh has urged Prime Minister, Dr. Manmohan Singh to convene an urgent meeting of State leaders to assess the situation which has been deteriorating with every passing day because of the dubious role of NC leadership in the state. Strongly condemning the assassination of elected members of the panchayat, the NPP Supremo accused the NC government for having failed to protect the lives of the elected representatives. The NPP Chief reminded Prime Minister of the dangerous designs of the NC leaders to sabotage peace and add to anarchy and civil unrest in J&K right since 1951. “It was NC which was responsible to dispatch youth to POK in 1989-90 to go for armed training. It is NC leadership which has not opened the flood gates armed trained youth to enter Kashmir Valley via Nepal using the Resettlement Law in proxy with a mala fide intension. It is NC which has been browbeating the Central leadership and inciting the innocent Kashmiri youth to wage war against India”, he said. Bhim said that the panches and sarpanches have earned the wrath of NC government because they got over 80% mandate of the people who have been shut out by the NC government to give the impression that all Kashmiries are anti-India except one family. NPP Chief said the only way out is to dismiss the present government and hold fresh elections in free and fair manner so that the stalwarts of the Hurriyat Conference may also participate in the election battle. Professor also called on Shri Ali Shah Geelani and other Kashmiri leaders to stop gimmicks and instead get ready for the next election to provide a genuine representation to the people of the Valley for the redressal of their genuine problems they have been facing since 1947. NPP Chief also suggested to refrain from organizing protests or strikes on the visit of President of India. He said, "I hope that the people of the Valley and the angry leadership may rather shall welcome the President of India and show grace of Kashmiri hospitality." |
