| Baffling!!!! Minister's teacher wife occupies chair in Personal Section of another Ministry | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Sept 25: It may sound awful, but it is true that Mrs Kalpana Sharma, wife of Minister of State (MoS) for Cooperative, Independent Charge Manohar Lal Sharma has been doled privileged positions courtesy Government orders that were simultaneously modifying twice to get the high profile lady at a best chair.
Highly placed sources within Cooperative Department told that as per Government Order No 650 Edu of 2010 dated 10.8.2010, Kalpana Sharma was attached in the Personal Section of R&B Minister. However this chair seemed not suitable for the high profiled lady i.e. the spouse of minister, the order was again modified through which she was attached in the Personal Section of Minister of State for Haj, Auqaf and Fisheries.
It merits to mention here that the lady in news earlier was working as Primary teacher in Govt Primary School Kishanpur Kandi.
But what is surprising here for all, though the high profiled lady was shown attached in the Personal Section of Minister of State for Haj, Auqaf and Fisheries but the staff members of the said section in Civil Secretariat were unaware about the presence of a lady having such a name and all this apparently speaks volume of political nexus.
Informed sources further said that, while JAKFED authorities are already crying hoarse for being paid the cost of their vehicles being used by the Minister and his family, besides mis-use of vehicle (JK01L/1331) a Scorpio of Jammu and Kashmir State Cooperative Bank Ltd Srinagar by Minister and his family members, now the Civil Secretariat employees too are looking the chair of said Minister with a finger of suspicion.
Pertinently, a complaint from the staff of JAKFED (Jammu and Kashmir Cooperative Supply and Marketing Federation Ltd) alleging misuse of JAKFED resources by the Minister already has been submitted to Sonia Gandhi, All India Congress Committee President and other senior Congress functionaries. Besides this JAKFED Employees Welfare Association (JEWA) also had leveled serious allegations against Minister Manohar Lal and attached GM JAKFED Girdari Lal Abrol for shielding each other's corrupt practices, resulting into over Rs 300 crore loss to the cooperative sector. As per complaint, copies of each is in possession of ET, JAKFED, which works on its own resources and not Government aid, bear huge loss owing to the nexus between Cooperative Minister and G L Abrol, ex GM JAKFED. Minister's influence over the department could even be gauged through the incident when Minister took over the vehicle Tata Sumo Grandi (1444/02AH) from JAKFED for his personal use and deployed it with his teacher wife. As per log book of the vehicle, it was taken to out of state several times costing Rs 3 lakh as fuel expense. Surprisingly the Minister swapped this old Sumo with the new vehicle of JAKFED, i.e. Bolero (JK02AR/4628) and the expenses of both the vehicles touched a whooping amount Rs 40 lakh from the pocket of JAKFED. |
