"My Stamp" service in four new templates introduced

JAMMU, Nov 26: Carrying forward its plans to provide innovative services through Postal network Chief Postmaster General, Jammu and Kashmir John Samuel today introduced "My Stamp" Service in four new templates during one day Postal Officers Meet here today. The templates on flower series viz. Pancy, Lily,Dhalia and Cineraria will provide choice to people who can get photographs of individual on different Postal Stamps apart from the existing templates.
My stamps in new templates can be an ideal gift for Birthdays, Anniversaries etc.
Speaking on the occasion John Samuel said that J&K State is the first state in the country where people can get personalized Postage Stamps, the service called My Stamp adding that with the release of new templates the choice for personalized stamps have increased. He described the My Stamp service as success in the state and informed that the service was so appreciated by the people in Jammu and Kashmir that Department has earned revenue of about one crore during the last one year.
Samuel, informed that J&K Postal Circle has achieved overall growth of 42 percent in business over the corresponding period of last financial year. He further added that Department has already indentified 115 villages under "Sampurna Bachat Yojna" wherein all households in these villages will have at least one Post Offices Savings Bank account.
Chief Postmaster General stated that J&K Circle is going to introduce e-Post service very shortly whereby digital divide existing at present will be bridged effectively.
Under this service, customers can send their mail through email and it will be printed and delivered as a hard copy to the addressees by the post office.
Business Post Centre will be established in all Head Post Offices wherein services like Post Shop, fax, photocopy, Scanning, Printing etc. will be provided to the customers.
later the Chief Postmaster General also distributed prizes among the Postmasters for excellence in performance under International Money Transfer Service, Sale of Gold Coins, My Stamp, Savings Bank and Express Parcel Post Services.
Amit Sharma, Director Finance, Jagdeep Gupta, Director Postal Services and Showkat Parrey, ACAO were also present on the occasion.
