Jammu, Nov 26: A police team of Jammu and Kash-mir has been dispatched to Bangluru to arrest the culprits responsible for sending threatening e mail to a Katra based hotel.
The police got clue about the dispatcher after a cyber cell of the state police swung in to action and traced the source of the mail. Highly placed sour-ces said the mail originated from the account [email protected]. A message to Bangluru police has been flashed by JKP officials, seeking its assistance in nabbing the accused.
Sources in police divulged that the cyber cafe from the mail originated is managed by a couple in Bang-luru and the phone used to connect to the internet is in the name of the husband.
Pertinently, the Jammu and Kashmir police on Sunday sounded a red alert in Katra and along the 13 km long mountainous track leading to the cave shrine of Mata Vaishno De-vi soon after a posh hotel in Katra base camp received a threat mail warning against possible strike to avenge execution of Ajmal Kasab on Novem-ber 21.
"We will avenge execution of Ajmal Kasab. We will teach India a lesson. We will celebrate Deepa-wali in Katra. The flying birds will be fired. Indians will be targeted. Stop us if you can", read the contents of the threat mail, first noticed in the mail box of hotel account by the manager on Saturday evening.
After informing the proprietors of the hotel Grand Devi, the manager sounded alarm and called local police to verify the authenticity of the threat mail.
According to Police, an FIR has been registered against unknown persons in Katra police station and to carry out further investigation in the case a team of state police would visit Bangluru to take custody of the owners of the cybercafe.
A senior police officer said, we cannot ignore the threat mail and have already sounded a red alert in Katra and Bhawan area to maintain a tight vigil on any suspect movements in the area.
