srinagar, Dec 2: To listen to the grievances of the public, People Democratic Party opened an office at Jullahka mohalla here.
The office was inaugurated by former SP Sudarshan Sharma and district Jammu vice president PDP Vikram Singh. On the occasion Chaman Angral (Zone President East) announced a ten member committee which includes Naresh Sharma, Baldev Singh, Shamis-ud-Din, Rahul, Ajay, Prem Kumar, Raju Singh, Sham Sunder Sharma, Vijay Kumar and O P Sadotra as Ward President. Prominent among those who are present are Sachin Sharma, Vikrant Singh, Pankaj Gupta, Girish Sharma.
S P Sharma welcomed the executive members and assured them of support for their rights. He flayed Omar Abdullah led coalition regime for its failure to solve day to day problems of common masses."LPG crisis and unemployment are creation of this government," he alleged.
Vikram in his speech alleged that the state has been plunged into unprecedented crises due to wrong policies of Omar Abdullah.
Sachin Sharma said the prevailing LPG crisis has once again exposed the government "which does not feel ashamed to see the people standing in long queues in freezing temperatures."
He regretted that one person lost his life in pursuit of a LPG cylinder which is a "shame of the present coalition." Criticising the government for introducing an element of discrimination in development, Sachin Sharma said the previous coalition had extended the development process evenly across regions and sub regions to all areas irrespective of political affiliations. He said though the entire state was facing acute problems on account of rampant corruption, mis-governance and political bankruptcy of rulers the government had singled out areas represented by opposition for maltreatment. He claimed the planning process had been subverted and the chief minister was utilizing plan funds as if it was his discretionary grant.
