Fransher Nali wins IYC T20 cup by 10 wickets

Kishtwar, Dec 2: A T-20 cricket tournament organized by Indian Youth Congress Inderwal at Nali Bunjwah in District Kishtwar ended here today with the final match played between Fransher Nali cricket club and Rising Star Bhalesha cricket club.
The match was won by Fransher Nali cricket club by 10 wickets. After winning the toss, Rising star elected to Bat first and was bundle out for 74 runs in the allotted 20 over's whereas Fransher Nali cricket Club chase the target without losing any wicket with 7 over to spare.
The tourney was played on knockout basis in which 32 local teams of the area participated. Mohammad Asgar Hussain of Fransher Nali Cricket Club was declared as Man of the match and Imtiyaz Bataak was declared as Man of the Series. Senior Congress Leader and MLA Inderwal Ghulam Mohammad Saroori was chief guest on the occasion and distributed prizes among the participants. The winner up team was awarded Rs 10,000 and Runner up team with Rs 8,000 and trophies. On this occasion, Saroori exhorted upon youth to remain focused on constructive activities and desists from social evils, drug addiction and anti-national activities. He also highlighted the spirit of sportsmanship. He encouraged the youth to participate in the sports activities, to keep their body mentally and physically fit. Saroori praised the role of Indian Youth Congress (IYC) for showing great interest in organizing Cricket tournament. He said that by organizing such tournaments, the talented youths of this hilly district will get an opportunity to show his talent at highest level.
He also announces Rs 11,000 to the final two teams and also promised if the public of Bunjwah will arrange at least 10 Kannal of land, he will fight for the sanction of at least 50 lacs for construction of the sports stadium. IYC President Inderwal Mohammad Latief Mughal, IYC President Bunjwah Yog Raj, Mohammad Iqbal Keen, Khalid Hussain Sheikh, Farooq Ahmed Want, Choudhary Mohammad Shafi, Haroon Ayoob, Irshad Ahmed and large number of sports lover of the area remain present and watched the final match of the tournament. People of the area appreciated the role of IYC in organizing such people friendly endeavors especially youth oriented activities in rural areas.
