JAMMU, Dec 9: Formidable Jayesh Singh shall take on Diviyan in the final of the youth boys' category in the ongoing District Jammu Table Tennis Championship, organised by the J&K Table Tennis Association at Indoor Complex, MA Stadium, here tomorrow. Earlier, in the semifinals, played today, Jayesh defeated Gurvinder Singh in straight sets of 11-09, 12-10, 11-05 while Diviyan overpowered Sunpreet fighting from behind 3-2. Down by two frames 09-11, 09-11, Diviyan clinched the next three frames 11-09, 11-09, 11-09 to turn the match in his favour. Quarterfinals: Gurvinder bt Kashish Jain 11-06, 08-11, 11-08, 11-09; Sunpreet bt Anuj Gupta 11-09, 11-09, 09-11, 11-08. Meanwhile, Diviyan has also made it to the final of the sub-junior boys group after he clinched a thrilling win against Anuj 11-09, 09-11, 11-09, 10-12, 11-09. In other semifinal, Ritvik Gupta trounced Manandeep 04-11, 11-08, 11-07, 11-08. In cadet boys' category, Hanumant and Ninad today made it to the final. In the semifinals, played today, Hanumant beat A Koul 11-08, 11-09, 11-09 and Ninad downed Aman Gupta 11-09, 11-06, 12-10.
In sub-junior girls group, Jahanvi shall take on Shreya in the final tomorrow. |
