| Strict action against corrupt officials: Municipal Commissioner | | | Early Times Report
Srinagar, Dec. 9 (KNS): Commissioner Srinagar Municipal Corporation (SMC) Dr. G.N Qasba held a meeting with all the ward officers, building inspector and enforcement wing of the corporation regarding illegal constructions, master plan and building permission violations in the city on Sunday.
Qasba in the meeting gave clear cut directions to the concerned officials that an FIR would be lodged in the vigilance department against those who indulge in allowing any kind of illegal constructions, besides violation of master plan and building permissions.
He said that every kind of assistance in terms of enforcement, police or administrative assistance would be fully provided to the officials in removing and arresting any sort of violation taking place.
During course of meeting Chief Enforcement Officer Hakeem Aijaz made it clear to all the Building Inspectors and Ward Officers that if they fail to send timely reports and does not take cognizance of any unlawful construction at its earliest, they shall be personally held responsible and the reports furnished by them would be directly send to the higher authorities.
He said that all unauthentic, false and fabricated reports and cases if given by building inspectors and Ward Officers would be strongly recommended by him to the crime and vigilance department so that the stern action shall be taken against them.
Qasba further instructed the BI's to directly report to the Enforcement wing about any illegal construction taking place anywhere in the city, who would ensure to stop the work of the same in its initial stage. |
