Kishtwar, Dec 9: Impressed with the pro-people policies of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), nearly 70 people from different political parties and labour class today joined PDP in Nagsini block of Kishtwar District in front of Mohammad Umar Malik, District Youth President PDP Kishtwar. While addressing the newly joined aspirants, Malik assured them that PDP will come up to their expectation and termed the National Conference leadership as an "opportunist involved in sucking the blood of poor people including the labor class." He said that labor class constitutes the majority of the population in every society. "Anti labour class policy of the coalition government can be judged from the fact that Kishtwar District is functioning without District Labour officer since last more than two years. The prices of essential commodities have increased manifold thus affecting the budget of labor class families," he said in a statement. Malik said that PDP was committed for introducing welfare scheme program for common people once they came to power. He claimed that with active support of the peoples of Jammu and Kashmir, PDP will form the next government as and when the election will held in state of Jammu and Kashmir. The PDP leader alleged that NC government from time to time was involved in looting/selling of public exchequers and said that despite several media report highlighting the corruption by coalition ministers; Chief Minister Omar Abdullah has failed to take any action against them. Prominent who joined the PDP included Ghulam Hussain, Khurshid Ahmed, Naseer Ahmed Chaman Lal, Khushi Mohammad and others. PDP youths leader Nikka Baghwan, Waseem Mir and Khalid Mir also accompanied with parties District Youth President. |
