Jammu, Dec 9: President Lok Sabha Youth Congress Jammu-Poonch Constituency Satish Sharma celebrated the 67th birth anniversary of Congress President Sonia Gandhi by adopting five girl children. According to a statement, he will extend educational support to the girls which includes uniform, books, tuition fee etc.
To launch the support a function was held at Govt. Girls Higher Secondary School Rehari in which youth Congress activists participated. Prominent others present on the occasion included Abid Kashmiri, Charanjeet Singh Chiku, Rajan Sharma, Vijay Magotra, Nitish Mahajan, Abishek Kaushal, Rajinder Sing, Arif Choudhary, Maninder Singh and Neeraj Kumar. Speaking on the occasion Sharma spoke about the services rendered by Sonia to strengthen the Congress. He called upon the youth to take a pledge to strengthen the Congress Party in line with the dreams of Rahul Gandhi "who had a clear cut action plan and Strategy for both Congress and the nation." |
