Jammu, Dec 11 (JNF): State Accountability Commission Comprising Justice YP Nargotra (rtd) Chairperson and Justice Hakim Imtiyaz Hussain (rtd) Member, in a complaint filed by against Ex-Minister, the comments of the Director Estate have been received. The respondent is alleged continuing to occupy two houses one at Jammu and other at Srinagar, the rent of which is also outstanding against him despite the fact that he has ceased to be a Minister. However, the Director Estate has not specifically in his report dealt with the question as to the entitlement of the ex-minister to hold and occupy the Govt accommodation of after having ceased to be the minister and directed Director Estate to file detailed report by the next date of hearing that Whether Abdul Aziz Zargar, Yogesh Sawhney, Gharu Ram, Dr. Romesh Sharma, Haji Nissar Ali, Mula Ram, Peer Mohd Hussain, Ghulam Rasool Kar, Abdul Rashid Dar, Qaiser Jamshed, Abdul Rehman Turkoo and ors, are occupying any Govt house at Jammu or Srinagar and whether any rent on account of such occupation is outstanding? Whether there are any rules, guidelines issued/framed by the Govt dealing with the question of entitlement of a person to any Govt accommodation? Whether a person who has ceased to be minister or legislature in terms of rules entitled to continue to remain in occupation of the accommodation provided to him while he was minister or legislature? How many persons who are not entitled to hold Govt accommodation are in occupation of the Govt quarters? Names of such persons. How many private buildings and at what annual rents have been hired by the Govt for accommodating public functionaries as well as Govt Offices/Servants. |
