| Court to hear bail plea of accused today | | Facebook blasphemy case | | Asif iqbal Naik Kishtwar, Dec 11: Keeping in view tomorrow's court hearing on bail plea of three facebook blasphemy accused presently lodged in District jail Kishtwar since last more than 45 days, Kishtwar administration and police have sounded state high alert in Kishtwar town and other major areas of Kishtwar district. Deputy Commissioner Kishtwar Saleem Mohammad Chowdhary held a meeting with Immam Jamia Masjid Kishtwar Farooq Ahmed Kichloo urging him to maintain peace and tranquility in the area. The meeting of Deputy Commissioner Kishtwar with Immam Jamia Masjid Kishtwar comes in wake of Friday's statement in which Immam Jamia Masjid while speaking on behalf of Majlis-e-Shora committee threatened to come on street in case the three accused Kishore Sharma, Kirti Sharma and Bansi Lal were released by the police without completion of inquiry. Immam Jamia Masjid's statement comes as a counter statement of BJP chief spokesperson Dr. Jitendra Singh in which he has demanded an immediate release of the three accused, beside threatening to launch an agitation in case the three youths were not released from custody. Advocate Rajesh Sharma, council of the three accused while demanding the bail for his client stated that there is no evidence against his three clients presently lodged in jail without committing any crime. Defence council who moved the bail application on December 4 before Principal District and Sessions judge Kishtwar is hopeful that court after taking all the legal points raised by him into consideration will grant bail to his clients. It is pertinent to mention here that due to lack of cyber experts, Kishtwar police even after the lapse of nearly 45 days failed to reach any conclusion over the role of the three accused presently lodged in Kishtwar jail. The only computer expert police officer in Kishtwar district has too been posted as SHO of a police station, thus hampering the progress of investigation of this sensitive case.
