Kishtwar, Dec11 : Kishtwar police has claimed arresting one person in connection with illegal trade of liquor and lodged FIR No; 292/2012 under section 48 excise Act, in P/S Kishtwar. As per the contents of FIR, it reveals that police had got information through reliable sources regarding sale and purchase of illicit liquor at Bunzwar on the out skirts of Kishtwar town, acting on which police party conducted raid at Bunzwar and seized 700 pouches of illicit liquor from the possession of Ghulam Ali S/o Ghulam Qadir Baghwan R/O Bunzwar Kishtwar, and arrested him.
The seized liquor napoleon is said to be without hologram mark of J&K excise department, which suggest that the consignment of liquor is directly made available to the sellers in order to evade from the payment of taxes. Investigation in the case is going on and sources reveal that more arrests are likely to be made by the police. |
