Panun Kashmir holds youth meet
"100 area, zonal coordinators appointed in Jammu region"

Jammu, Dec 11: A joint meeting of Youth for Panun Kashmir and Kashmira Vahini was held here under the chairmanship of Dr. Agnishekhar Tuesday.
According to a statement, the meet was held to rejuvenate the existing organizational network at state level in view of challenges ahead. "The members expressed their apprehensions regarding the ramifications of the ongoing state of apathy and neglect vis-à-vis exiled Kashmiri pundits by the government which has further compounded their problems at political, social-cultural and Diaspora level," it said.
After deliberations the members pledged to reorganise the Panun Kashmir organization from grass roots level by carefully identifying and empowering the senior activists and also new comers in different parts of Jammu region.
"In this connection it was decided to appoint one hundred area and zonal coordinators in Jammu region including Jagti Township as a first step," the statement said.
Dr Agnishekhar offered the idea to utilize to the optimum all available support structure for which a comprehensive infrastructure was to be worked out a fresh.
He also took stock of the preparation for forthcoming programs worldwide in connection with proposed "Homeland Week" commencing from December 28 at different places in the country.
In this connection all members were updated through global teleconferencing by Veer Wangoo from Finland, Rahul Razdan from Seattle USA, Kamal Hak, Rahul Kaul, Vithal Chowdhary from Delhi, NCR and Pune respectively.
Dr Agnishekhar complimented the efforts of Kashmira Vahini activists who have jointly took upon themselves to organize these events worldwide.
Among others who participated in the meeting at Jammu included Omjee Bhat, Oj Kaul, Raja Jee Tickoo, Omesh Kaul, Sushma Reshi, Ashtoush Kaul, Gaytri Hashia, Dr Khema Kaul, Rakesh Jee and Chander Prakash.
