| Another Ghorta rape accused held | | |

Jammu, Dec 24: Police claimed arrest of another accused involved in Ghorta rape. He has been identified as Shami. Police have already arrested the main culprit namely Gayan Singh.
This incident took place at Ranjan village under Gharota police station, some 20 Kms away from Jammu. The incident came to light after the victim managed to escape from the clutches of the culprits in the morning and narrated the horrifying story to her parents. The girl alleged that Gyan Singh, resident of her village, a driver by profession, took her forcefully to his minibus in the evening. Gyan Singh's accomplice, Shammi, was already present inside the bus and they both outraged her modesty in a nearby forest.
The police took the girl to a hospital where her medical examination confirmed rape following which a complaint has been registered against the two accused.
Earlier a similar incident was reported in the village of Kotli Chadhkaa where a minor was raped on Saturday. |
