| Encounter in Kulgam; Two militants, SOG person killed | | | early times report
Srinagar, Dec 24: Two Lashkar outfit militants and one Specials Operat-ions Group (SOG) person was also killed in an encounter in South Kash-mir's Kulgam district.
According to Police reports the encounter was started in Datipora area of Kulgam district this evening in which one local LeT militant Mudasir Ahmad of Yaripora Kulg-am, one Pakistani militant Tamim Ahmad of the same militant outfit and one SOG person namely Shera was killed.
Initially the encounter was started in a house in Datipora area, however, during the heavy gun battle between militants and security forces, militants managed to run away from the house and reached in nearby agricultural fields. Since the whole area was already cordoned off by the security forces both the militants got killed at the same place.
In this encounter one SOG person Shera lost his life initially after the encounter began in Datipora while fighting with both the militants.
The encounter was carried by 9RR,CRPF,SOG Kulgam and J&K Police.
