| DyCM inaugurates Rs 4.78 cr development projects | | | Early Times Report Jammu, Dec 24 : Expressing gratitude to UPA government headed by Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh for liberal funding to the State, Deputy Chief Minister Tara Chand today said that this has immensely helped the State to achieve new dimensions in every development field. "The collaborative efforts of Centre and the State government have really made a remarkable progress in socio-economic emancipation of people of the State especially those living in rural and far off pockets", he maintained. The Deputy Chief Minister said this while addressing a large public gathering at Bardoh in Khour after inaugurating 175 mt steel foot suspension bridge over river Manawar Tawi at Jogwah completed at a cost of Rs. 3.42 crore. He called upon the people to come forward and supplement government efforts to ensure equitable development of every part of the State. He also inaugurated Lift Irrigation scheme Mukeri completed at a cost of Rs. 70 lakh under AIBP scheme which will create 142 hect potential agriculture land. Deputy Chief Minister was informed that the Bardoh Irrigation scheme has not been properly functioning. He directed the Irrigation Department to submit new Irrigation scheme proposal. Deputy Chief Minister assured the people that all their genuine demands would be addressed at the earliest and issued on spot instructions to the concerned officers for early disposal of the issues brought up in the public meeting. |
