350 accommodations constructed for Kashmiri Pandits

Jammu, Jan 2 : The Jammu and Kashmir government has taken a slew of measures for rehabilitation of Kashmiri Pandits, including construction of 350 transit units to facilitate their accommodation.
Announcing this today, an official spokesperson said that migrants who have joined service in the Valley have been provided transit accommodations at Vessu, Mattan, Hawal, Baramulla and Sheikhpora. He further said job offers were issued to 1,922 migrants who have shown interest to serve with the government and of them, 1,431 persons have already joined. Listing out various development initiatives by the government, the spokesperson said workshops were organised for disaster management and funds issued to the concerned authorities to deal with natural calamities. Grants were also allotted under various heads including public utilities, agriculture, horticulture and livestock, he said.
Construction of a Haj House was completed by the Waqf authorities and the Waqf Council provided financial aid to over 200 beneficiaries including widows, orphans and patients.
