| CJM directs SHO Kishtwar to register FIR, submit detailed report | | Attempt on life of ET reporter | | early times report
KISHTWAR, Jan 2: In the case of attempt on the life of ET Kishtwar reporter, Court of the CJM while taking cognizance of the complaint filed by the aggrieved has directed SHO Kishtwar to register an FIR and submit a detailed report.
Asif Iqbal Naik, Early times correspondent had complained before CJM Kishtwar , that Sajjad Ahmad Najjar Son of Abdul Gaffar Najjar Resident of Jamia Mohalla Kishtwar commonly known as "Natwar
Lal of Kishtwar" , attempted to crush him under his unregistered white Wagon R vehicle , and then pointed a pistol at him while he was accompanied by another accused Firdous Ahmad S/O Mohammad Akbar Ganie working with Sky line cable network Kishtwar.
In his complaint Asif pleaded that Kishtwar police was reluctant in registering an FIR against the accused due to his close acquaintance with the Police.
After hearing the complainant and going through the contents of complaint, CJM Kishtwar took cognizance and directed SHO Police Station Kishtwar to investigate the matter and furnish detailed report.
It is pertinent to mention here that the reporter had earlier published
news regarding the detention of Sajjad Ahmad Najar in a cheating case and annoyed over the report, the accused was constantly on the look to harm the ET reporter.
