Jammu, Jan 2: Director General of Police Ashok Prasad today sanctioned scholarships worth Rs 16.5 lakh in favour of 352 wards of police personnel and martyrs in the state.
The scholarships, sanctioned out of Central Police Fund, have been ordered for the wards of martyrs including meritorious children of serving personnel for the academic year 2011-12.
Announcing the scholarships, Prasad stressed upon the wards to get modern education and perform well in different competitions.
