| 'Slogan Writing competition' on HIV/AIDS organized | | |  EARLY TIMES REPORT
Hiranagar, Jan 2: To generate awareness among the masses on the issue HIV/AIDS, NSS unit of GLDM Degree College Hiranagar organized a 'Slogan Writing competition' was carried under the supervision of NSS Prog Officer, Professor Rachna.
Atleast 60 volunteers participated in this competition which was chaired by Dr Ram Krishan Sharma , Principal of the College. A panel of Prof Daya Vilas and Prof Balbir Kumar adjudged the performances of the participants.
Speaking on the occasion Principal threw light on the precautions through which one can get rid of this fatal disease. Prof Daya Vilas in his address suggested that patients of HIV infection need to be treated with care and love and not as untouchables. Professor Rachna spoek on aims and objective of event and said the aim of the competition is to spread awareness about HIV/AIDS through the slogans prepared by the students. Later certificates of participation and prizes were distributed among the participants and Kumerjeet was adjudged as first with Neha Verma and Kuldeep Verma on second and third place respectively.
