| AEE allegedly manhandled by Naib Tehsildar | | | Employees threaten stir

Rajouri, Jan 2: Expressing their deep anguish over the alleged manhandling of an Assistant Executive Engineer by Naib Tehsilar, employees of the different Engineering departments have threaten stir here.
As per sources an AEE of PWD has alleged that Naib-Tehsildar Farooq Anwar manhandled him in full public view when he went to Rekiban area of Darhal to pacify a protest launched by locals. Talking with media persons here at district headquarter PWD, AEE Ravi Raina said that after receiving information about a protest by locals in Darhal area over some road widening work, he along with some other employees rushed to the spot in order to pacify the protest. However Naib-Tehsildar Farooq Anwar who was already present on the spot manhandled him twice, once in public view and later in Tehsil office complex. He further alleged that manhandling the officials of PWD was a planned conspiracy as police, including SHO Darhal were present on the spot but did not intervene in the matter.
Agast over the incident, All J&K Engineers Association held a massive protest against DC office complex where they threatened to launch a state wide agitation and to close all the schemes related with technical and engineering departments if the accused Naib-Tehsildar was not dealt with strictly. However as per sources NT Farooq Anwar has said that AEE Ravi Raina used unparliamentary language triggering a verbal duel between them but no incident of manhandling took place.
However DC Rajouri Saugat Biswas ordered an enquiry and assured action against the guilty.
